Apparatus
Engine 8-1
Engine built in 2009 by Pierce Manufacturing in Bradenton FL on a custom Pierce 6 man chassis. Truck has a 1500 GPM pump and carries 1000 gallons of water. Like Engine, pump controls are top mounted. Apparatus has several unique features including hydraulic driven 12KW generator and on demand ice chains.
Attack 8- 2009 Ford F550
Apparatus was built in 2009 by Freedom Fire in Marietta GA on a Ford F550 chassis. Funding obtained primarily via FEMA grant. Apparatus is first out of station on many calls and has many unique features which include light tower, PTO driven 12 KW generator, remote control nozzle, winch, diesel driven 300 GPM pump, 300 gallon water tank, 10 gallon foam tank for foam injection system. Equipment carried for extrication, fires (wildland, structure, automotive, etc) Haz-Mat, etc.

Engine 8
Engine built in 2000 by Smeal Fire Apparatus in Snyder NE on a Freightliner FL80 chassis. Truck has a 1250 GPM pump and carries 1000 gallons of water. Pump controls are top mounted to allow engineer better view of emergency scene and ensures he/she is out of traffic danger. Members flew to Nebraska and drove apparatus back to Fair Play.
Rescue 81
1998 Custom Rescue that was purchased from Taylor Twp in Indiana. Truck carries Paratech and Res-Q-Jack stabilization equipment along with various cribbing and chains. Truck is also pre-plumbed with hydraulic rescue pumps, cutters and spreaders. Truck has a 300lb oil dry hopper on the top.
Tanker 8
Tanker was built in 2000 by KME Fire in Nesquehoning PA on a Freightliner FL80 chassis. Truck has a 300 GPM pump and carries 1800 gallons of water. Truck is used to shuttle water and in combination with tankers from neighboring districts has allowed Fair Play Fire District to achieve a straight ISO 5 rating for over 10 years due to demonstrated ability to shuttle large amounts of water to any point in our fire district.
Our Heritage
Our 1964 Howe Chevrolet Engine 8 was the first apparatus assigned to Fair Play Fire Department and is still in service as a parade piece only. This beauty hauls Santa Claus along the parade route and gets her legs stretched around the district at least once a year.
